Community pharmacy is an ever changing landscape that currently holds exciting opportunities and significant challenges. It is clear that community pharmacists are essential providers in our health care system and have increasingly positioned themselves to fill healthcare gaps and provide necessary services. Yet, much opportunity remains.
I am eager to serve as the Chair for the ASHP Section of Community Pharmacy Practitioners in an effort to continue this practice advancement. In doing so, I aim to identify opportunities to improve patient care and support our members in doing the same through cultivation and sharing of both knowledge and practice resources.
In addition to supporting our practitioners pursuit of advancing patient care, I am motivated to lead and contribute to professional advocacy opportunities affecting community pharmacy practitioners and their patients. By strategically leveraging the resources within our ASHP network and beyond, I believe our advocacy efforts can yield positive change that delivers care models that are accessible and support practitioners in providing safe, high quality care.
