I’m excited for the opportunity to serve the Section and its mission of furthering innovation, collaboration, and education to advance patient care with optimized patient outcomes for all. Our Section mission continues to be aligned with ASHP strategic priorities focused on patient care and member growth and inclusion.
Through the Section, work towards these overlapping priorities must continue by critically focusing on each priorities goals. In my 23 years of service to our patients, it’s clear that growth in patient care and innovation is closely tied to investment in the profession; specifically developing relationships and meeting member needs. I feel strongly that continuing to focus on the needs of our members will in turn drive innovation, influence, and impact in patient care. The mission of the Section as a professional home for the growth, inclusion, and mentorship of pharmacists is key, and is how we as a Section continue to rise to meet new challenges in healthcare.
I believe my professional experiences along with previous and current service to ASHP provide me with the ability to best serve as your Section Chair. As Chair I’ll leverage these experiences to collaboratively work across the Section as advocates for our patients and profession. It’s an honor to be nominated as Chair of the Section, and I greatly appreciate your consideration. I’m enthusiastic about the opportunities that lie ahead for our Section, for ASHP, and for the care of our patients.
