Mentorship through education has been the most impactful part of my career. Benefiting from great mentors and striving for a pay-it-forward mentality has been what I find most rewarding and joyous. Education is transformative in nature for the learner and the mentor which translates to the future patients they care for. Through my career I have identified this as my true passion. The opportunity to impact the future of pharmacy and learner career trajectory every day would be an absolute gift.

I have learned to appreciate and understand the importance of accountability towards high expectation and educational standards. The standards are like guard rails to keep us in check and give us boundaries but allow flexibility to create within them and innovate. The power of the section is in the dedicated members that bring forth innovative ideas and help us achieve them. I hope in this role to promote the high expectations and standards that we all hold ourselves to and be creative in ways to marry them with every changing landscape of practice, education and research. Through that promotion we can all be better together.
