Starting as a pharmacy student at Northeastern University, professional involvement in ASHP has been a big part of my life. ASHP has been my professional home for over two decades. For two decades, I have had the privilege of serving ASHP in various ways. As a first-year faculty member at MCPHS, I revived our student chapter of ASHP. I founded an annual New England Regional Residency/Fellowship Showcase, which has now passed its 20th consecutive year. The most rewarding ASHP service opportunity was my time on the Council on Therapeutics, where I served for four years and was privileged to serve as chair. More recently, I have been honored to serve on the Meeting Planning Committee, the Committee on Nominations, and the ASHP Fellow Recognition Committee. ASHP and the SCSS have given me so much in my career, and service to ASHP and the section makes me a better practitioner and educator. I am truly humbled to be slated for Director-at-Large. My career in pharmacy, previous and current service within ASHP, and my role in educating students, residents, and colleagues provide me with unique perspectives on moving the section's and ASHP's mission forward. In the near future, the section can lead our profession by developing pharmacy-based AI models that improve pharmacy efficiency and workflow while simultaneously reducing burnout, championing provider status, and continuing to be a leader with inclusiveness and belonging initiatives.
