Brittany A. Tschaen
2026 Distinguished Service Award Winner
Brittany A. Tschaen is an internal medicine clinical pharmacist and PGY1 residency program coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Jefferson College of Pharmacy and completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, followed by a PGY2 residency in internal medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Tschaen has demonstrated sustained leadership within ASHP, beginning as a student member and continuing through progressive roles within the organization. Early in her involvement, she served as a student representative to the ASHP Commission on Affiliate Relations and went on to hold multiple leadership roles within the ASHP New Practitioners Forum, including service on the Executive Committee. As her involvement expanded to the ASHP Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists (SCSS), she continued to collaborate closely with the New Practitioners Forum on podcasts, webinars, and Midyear Clinical Meeting programming. She has found these collaborations especially meaningful by connecting members across career stages and supporting members during key career transitions.
Within SCSS, she previously served as chair of the SCSS SAG on Clinical Leadership and as a member of the SCSS Meeting Planning Committee. She recently completed three years of service on the ASHP Council on Therapeutics, further contributing to policy and practice advancement at the national level. At the state affiliate level, Tschaen is actively involved with the Massachusetts Society of Health System Pharmacists, serving on the Residency and Legislative Committees. She is a past president of the Delaware Society of Health System Pharmacists.
