Reasons for selecting this career path:
I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of clinical care and systems thinking. Pharmacy leadership allows me to pair a passion for patient outcomes with the opportunity to solve complex problems, develop others, and lead meaningful change. Early exposure to high-performing leaders inspired me to pursue this path, not just to manage services, but to help shape the future of pharmacy through innovation and advocacy. Lastly, I aspire to be the kind of leader who not only advances pharmacy practice, but also creates space for others to grow, contribute, and thrive.
Professional Interests:
- Service line and collaborative practice development
- Medication safety, compliance, and risk mitigation
- Leadership development and team building
- Budgeting, cost-avoidance, and pharmacy value demonstration
Interest in serving on the NPF Executive Committee:
I’m eager to serve on the NPF Executive Committee because I view this as an opportunity to support, elevate, and advocate for fellow new practitioners during one of the most pivotal transitions of their careers. Having recently completed training, I understand how crucial connection, mentorship, and access to relevant resources are in shaping confidence, creating a direction and long-term success. My goal is to serve others by helping build a more inclusive, supportive community. I hope to create a space for one that listens, responds, and equips new practitioners to lead with purpose. Through this role, I hope to contribute meaningfully to the development of tools, programs, and initiatives that reflect the real needs of our peers and empower them to thrive in every setting of practice that they encounter.
Benefits of being involved in ASHP as a New Practitioner:
Being involved in ASHP as a new practitioner provides invaluable access to mentorship, professional development, and a network of peers navigating similar challenges. It offers opportunities to contribute to national initiatives, shape the future of pharmacy, and stay connected to evolving best practices. Most importantly, it reinforces that your voice matters and gives you the tools to make a meaningful impact early in your career.
