Reasons for selecting this career path:
I have a passion for education from academia to experiential. Pharmacy residency program coordinator merges the passion for teaching and precepting with the practicalities of being a health system pharmacist and plays to the post graduate education I received in my two-year Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership program.

Professional Interests:

  • Experiential education of students and residents
  • Preceptor development and mentorship
  • Health system pharmacy workforce development, recruitment, and retention
  • Governance and quality assurance of pharmacy school and postgraduate education

Interest in serving on the NPF Executive Committee:
I served on the NPF Career and Leadership Development Advisory Committee (CLDAG) for two years, first as a workgroup lead and then as the committee chair. In my last year of NPF, I would like to give back to all the resources, development, and service I received by serving on the NPF Executive Committee and help shape the future for new practitioners.

Benefits of being involved in ASHP as a New Practitioner:
The resource center has a plethora of excellent content. From clinical pearls to precepting gems, I highly recommend exploring the New Practitioner Resource Center.
