Small & Rural Hospitals Resource Center
Small and rural hospitals provide essential access to inpatient, outpatient, and emergency medical services in rural communities. According to the 2020 Census Bureau, about 21% of the U.S. population live in rural areas. Ranging from small community hospitals and clinics to rural Critical Access Hospitals, pharmacists in these settings are often one of the only accessible healthcare providers and serve larger roles in educating and caring for patients.
The Small and Rural Hospital Resource Center contains a compilation of resources including practice tools, articles, materials, and best practices relevant to health care practitioners in rural communities.
