SPEAKERS
David Chen, RPh, MBA is the vice president for pharmacy leadership and planning at ASHP. His role includes supporting ASHP’s Pharmacy Executive Leadership Alliance, Pharmacists in C-Suites initiative, Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders, and Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residents’ Collaborative. David coordinates efforts of ASHP members in publications, advocacy, education on pharmacy leadership, continuity of care, manager development, reimbursement rules & regulations, specialty pharmacy, and multi-hospital health systems.
Mr. Chen earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and his MBA from the Loyola University of Maryland. He has been with ASHP since 2004 and previously served as director of pharmacy at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, Maryland including the Kessler/Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital.
Lindsey Amerine, PharmD, MS, BCPS, CPEL, FASHP, FHOPA is the senior vice president and chief pharmacy officer at the Cleveland Clinic. She is also the co-founder of Amerine Clean, LLC, a pharmacy cleanroom cleaning company and hosts the podcast Unscripted. She was selected as a fellow of ASHP in 2020, fellow of HOPA in 2024, and previously served as chair for ASHP's Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders. She is an internationally recognized speaker and author.
William Kernan, PharmD, MBA, FASHP is the director of pharmacy for Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital. Dr. Kernan served as president of FSHP and chaired the Florida Residency Conference Steering Committee. William Kernan is a fellow of ASHP and has served on multiple ASHP section advisory groups and chaired the section advisory group on frontline leaders. He served as ASHP director at large for the section of pharmacy practice leaders executive committee.
Daniel J. Cobaugh, PharmD, FAACT, DABAT is the senior vice president of professional development and publishing at ASHP and the editor-in-chief of AJHP. He has served on the ASHP staff since 2002. He received his B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh and his Doctor of Pharmacy from Duquesne University. Cobaugh completed an ASHP-accredited residency in hospital pharmacy at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh and a clinical toxicology fellowship at the Pittsburgh Poison Center. He practiced as pharmacist-clinical toxicologist and held faculty appointments at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the University of Rochester Medical Center.
