In this Pharmacy Leadership Episode, Benjamin Anderson, immediate past-chair of the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology, has a discussion with SOPIT member and Distinguished Service Awardee for 2023, Maritza Lew, to discuss her service within the section and the role ASHP has played in her development as a pharmacy practice leader.

Maritza Lew (she/her) is a core clinical systems manager at El Camino Hospital in Silicon Valley. She has thirty-four years of experience in hospital pharmacy practice working in pediatrics, geriatrics, critical care, and clinical informatics. She is a member of the Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology working on the Section Advisory Group for Professional Development.
Benjamin J. Anderson, PharmD, MPH, FASHP, FMSHP is currently a medication management informaticist at the Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minnesota. He completed a PGY1 residency in pharmacy and a PGY2 health-system pharmacy administration residency from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Nationally, Ben was past-chair for the ASHP SOPIT and currently serves on the Council of Pharmacy Management. Ben is active with the Minnesota Society of Health-System and currently serves as the immediate past president.
