Elderly patients are frequently evaluated in emergency departments. They represent a unique patient population at high risk of medication related adverse events. Pharmacists are in a unique position to assist with many aspects of pharmacotherapy in the elderly. This episode will explore the clinical and operational considerations as wells as discuss obstacles and opportunities in improving medication-related care of the elderly.
