SPEAKERS

Melanie DoddMelanie Dodd, PharmD, PhC, BCPS, FASHP is associate dean for clinical affairs and professor in geriatrics at The University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy, where she practices as a pharmacist clinician with prescriptive authority, teaches, and oversees innovative clinical models. Her ASHP service includes chair of Council on Public Policy and Section of Ambulatory Care Practitioners, and a 17-year delegate to the House of Delegates. She currently serves as Chair of the HOD and member of the Board of Directors.

Melinda BurnworthMelinda J. Burnworth, PharmD, FASHP, FAzPA, BCPS is a Professor of Pharmacy Practice (Adult Internal Medicine) at Midwestern University College of Pharmacy, Glendale Campus. She has special interests in rare diseases, orphan drugs, and advocacy. Burnworth is actively involved with the Arizona Pharmacy Association Health-System SIG, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and National Organization for Rare Disorders. Burnworth demonstrates commitment to learners, patients, and pharmacy through involvement with academic endeavors, patient-centered care, and professional pharmacy organizations

Brittany TschaenBrittany Tschaen, PharmD, MS, BCPS is a clinical pharmacist at ChristianaCare, DE. After receiving her Doctor of Pharmacy from Jefferson College of Pharmacy, she completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and a PGY2 residency in internal medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She is currently serving as a member of ASHP’s Section Advisory Group (SAG) on Clinical Leadership and as the Delaware Society of Health-System Pharmacists (DSHP) Past-President.

Elyse MacDonaldElyse MacDonald, PharmD, MS, BCPS is the assistant director of pharmacy services focusing on research pharmacy at Stanford Health Care. Prior to this position, she was the pharmacy manager at the Investigational Drug Service with University of Utah Health. She trained in Drug Information at the University of Utah Health. She is a current member of the Clinical Leadership Section Advisory Group as part of the Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists for ASHP.
