Throughout the month of June, we are sharing the voices of our members in the form of advice they might give to their younger selves. Join us this Pride Month for a daily series of reflections to inspire, reaffirm and support pharmacy professionals at all stages of their career journeys.
SPEAKERS
Victoria Anderson, PharmD, has been passionate about pediatric pharmacy since elementary school when she learned it was not an unattainable dream — a pharmacist doesn’t have to stay at the hospital the entire time it is open, but rather can take turns going home to sleep. Victoria started her career in high school as a volunteer pharmacy technician at a children’s hospital. Her most recent position has involved preparing a new Level III NICU where she now works.
Daniel J. Cobaugh, PharmD, FAACT, DABAT, is the senior vice president of professional development and publishing at ASHP and the editor-in-chief of AJHP. He has served on the ASHP staff since 2002. He received his BS in Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh and his Doctor of Pharmacy from Duquesne University. Cobaugh completed an ASHP-accredited residency in hospital pharmacy at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh and a clinical toxicology fellowship at the Pittsburgh Poison Center. He practiced as pharmacist-clinical toxicologist and held faculty appointments at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the University of Rochester Medical Center.
