Michael Toraño, PharmD, MBA, CPHQ completed his Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy in May of 2023 and his master's in business administration from Quantic School of Business and Technology in November of 2022. He recently matched to a pharmacy administration and leadership residency at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center in Houston, TX where he will simultaneously complete a Master of Science in Pharmacy Leadership and Administration from the University of Houston.
Dr. Leyner Martinez, PharmD, MS, MHA, FACHE, is the director of pharmacy services at Baptist Hospital of Miami. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Family, Child, and Consumer Sciences from Florida State University and a PharmD from LECOM School of Pharmacy. He completed a PGY1 residency with drug information emphasis at the Poison Control Center/Jackson Memorial Hospital and a combined PGY1/PGY2 residency in health-systems pharmacy administration at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Martinez has certifications in medication therapy management and pharmacy-based immunization delivery and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He is also a preceptor to residents and students for health-system pharmacy administration and advance hospital/institutional practice rotations.
