SPEAKERS
Elena Patestos, PharmD is the current PGY1 Community Based Pharmacy Resident at Wilkes University and Weis Markets. She graduated from the Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy in 2023. During her time at Wilkes she completed a public health concentration and was a member of the Pennsylvania Area Health Education Center Scholars Program. Her practice areas of interest include academia, ambulatory care, and community pharmacy.
Steven Astrachan, PharmD is the current PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy resident at UVA Health following his PGY1 residency there. He is a 2022 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and has been involved with ASHP serving on his pharmacy school’s SSHP chapter board, Pharmacy Student Forum, and now New Practitioners Forum. When he’s not at home spoiling his cats, Ferb and Mr. Pickles, he enjoys staying active by powerlifting, golfing, and attending sporting events.
Jacob Jarboe, PharmD is a PGY1 pharmacy resident at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, Indiana. He received his bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham before he received his Doctorate of Pharmacy from Samford University McWorter School of Pharmacy. Jacob wants to pursue a career in critical care and hopes to start a PGY2 in critical care next year.
Evan Liddington is a fourth year PharmD/MBA student at Wilkes University, Nesbitt School of Pharmacy. Evan was President of the Wilkes University SSHP and continued his involvement by joining the Student Society Development Advisory Group in the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum and participating in the ASHP Experiential Education Program. He plans to pursue a PGY1 pharmacy residency followed by a PGY2 in Hematology/Oncology with hopes of transitioning into a management role within the oncology field.
