Join us for a conversation with the research grant teams from the ASHP Foundation New Practitioner Pharmacists Leadership Grant. Burnout syndrome and depression can have a detrimental impact on pharmacists. The project studied the relationship between grit and burnout in hospital pharmacists. It also included an assessment of depression. Topics discussed during the podcast include, lessons learned during their project, future implications, and further implementation for research, and the impact of the ASHP Foundation grant in the project. Also included is advice for those submitting for this grant and the impact the research will have.
SPEAKERS
Jennifer Tyra is a Membership Program Coordinator within the ASHP Office of Member Relations. In this role, she manages several member programs. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Kentucky. Wellness and well-being have long been a personal interest. She has been an avid yogi for many years.
Dr. Jim Hollands is a Vice Chair and Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, University of the Sciences. Jim has been involved with postgraduate training for over 15 years, having served as a Residency Program Director, a Residency Program Coordinator, an ASHP Accreditation guest surveyor and most recently as the Director of PCP’s Pharmaceutical Industry and Education Fellowship Program. He served as the senior investigator on Stacy’s research grant.
Stacy Pasciolla, PharmD, BCCCP is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (PCP), University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, PA and practices as a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Temple University. She went on to complete her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at ChristianaCare in Newark, DE and her PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency at PCP with Cooper University Hospital.
