When did you first join ASHP?
I joined ASHP for the multitude of resources and opportunities it offers pharmacists and students! ASHP also aligns with my interests and future goals as a pharmacist, so it was a no brainer!
What is your current involvement with the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum (i.e. advisory group or executive committee appointment)?
I am a Pharmacy Student Forum Residency Preparation Advisory Group Member
What is your favorite part of your ASHP student membership? What has been most beneficial about being a student member of ASHP?
My favorite part about being an ASHP member is the resources that are accessible to me through the organization, such as the advocacy materials I’ve been able to utilize. The most beneficial part about being a student member is the networking opportunities and the variety of professional development and leadership events, and resource materials that are offered through the organization.
What is your favorite memory from an ASHP event, project, or program?
My favorite memory through ASHP was when I was able to organize a letter writing campaign at my school with the Student Advocacy Toolkit ASHP created for Student Week of Action during National Pharmacy Week last year!
What advice do you have for pharmacy students seeking to become involved in national organizations?
Do be afraid to get involved. Reach out to faculty and peers for help and assistance, if you are unsure where to start. I promise it will be worth it!
