When did you first join ASHP?
I joined as a first-year pharmacy student.
What is your current involvement with the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum (i.e. advisory group or executive committee appointment)?
I am a committee member on the PAI advisory group.
What is your favorite part of your ASHP student membership? What has been most beneficial about being a student member of ASHP?
I have enjoyed the resources ASHP has to offer for career development and the connections I'm making with pharmacists and pharmacy students across the country. As I go forward into my career, I now feel like I have connections that extend outside of my home state.
What is your favorite memory from an ASHP event, project, or program?
I have not been to events or done any projects yet, but I look forward to the projects I'll be doing as part of the PAI advisory group and the experience of ASHP Midyear coming up in Las Vegas.
What advice do you have for pharmacy students seeking to become involved in national organizations?
I think it's exciting to learn about pharmacy from other perspectives and that it's a good experience whether you've just started pharmacy school or only have a year left. ASHP has resources and experiences for everyone who wants to be involved, and I really like that inclusivity. Do not hesitate to look into opportunities and to reach out for more information if you are unsure. People are willing to help you find your way to becoming an amazing pharmacist!
