When did you first join ASHP?
I joined ASHP as a P1 student because of the incredible resources and information they offer to students.
What is your current involvement with the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum (i.e. advisory group or executive committee appointment)?
Currently, I am an appointed member of the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum Residency Preparation Advisory Group.
What is your favorite part of your ASHP student membership? What has been most beneficial about being a student member of ASHP?
My favorite part of my ASHP student membership is having numerous resources available to me including CV tips and tricks, interview advice, career options, and so much information about residency! Having access to such things has been extremely beneficial to me as a student with so many interests and curiosities about residency.
What is your favorite memory from an ASHP event, project, or program?
My favorite memory from an ASHP event would be when Dr. Jessie Hipple Rosario, Director of Member Relations for the Pharmacy Student Forum, allotted time to meet virtually with the students at my school (UIWFSOP) and provided great insight and advice to students about pharmacy school, residency, and leadership opportunities within ASHP. It was such a personalized experience and will stick with me for a long long time!
What advice do you have for pharmacy students seeking to become involved in national organizations?
Always apply to any opportunity you are interested in! There have been many times where I assumed I would not get into a program/get a position while applying, but this did not discourage me from trying, let alone being accepted.
