Advice for Someone New to Specialty Area
"For pharmacists new to specialty pharmacy, I would advise them to ask a lot of questions and dig into the literature to validate what you hear. You should get engaged with the medical staff and their learning model to build relationships, learn the foundational medicine, demonstrate your commitment to the team, and demonstrate your medication expertise."
Value of ASHP
"Involvement with ASHP allows you to maintain focus on the "big picture" of our profession and not get bogged down with the day to day "fires".
