Reasons for selecting pharmacy:
I chose pharmacy because it combines my passion for science, advocacy, and patient care. After personally facing health challenges and losing my mother to cancer, I became deeply committed to improving the lives of others through healthcare. Pharmacy offers a unique opportunity to provide evidence-based care, support vulnerable populations, and lead in medication safety and policy.
Professional Interests:
My personal professional interests include pharmacy administration, oncology, health equity, and medication safety and policy. I am especially passionate about systems thinking and enhancing patient outcomes through safer medication practices.
Interest in the PSF Executive Committee:
I'm incredibly excited to be working with the PSF Executive Committee because it offers a platform to advocate for student voices, promote leadership development, and drive meaningful projects that enhance professional growth. I want the PSF to foster an inclusive environment that encourages pharmacy students to seek out leadership experiences.
How being a member of ASHP has assisted in my personal and professional development:
ASHP has given me the tools to grow as a leader and future clinical pharmacist. Through Policy Week, my Council service, and the Guided Mentorship Program, I’ve gained critical skills in advocacy, collaboration, and systems thinking. ASHP has also connected me with mentors and peers who inspire me to lead with purpose and compassion.
Goals for the year as a PSFEC Member:
