
Consensus Guidelines on Therapeutic Monitoring of Vancomycin

Dr. Michael Rybak and Dr. Jennifer Le discuss with William Zellmer, Contributing Editor for AJHP, and Anna Dopp, Senior Director, Clinical Guidelines and Quality Improvement, the new consensus guidelines on the therapeutic monitoring of vancomycin for serious methicillin-resistant infections. The revised guidelines were approved by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society, and the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists. The ASHP Report under discussion will appear in the June 1, 2020, issue of AJHP.
