SPEAKERS

Megan RechMegan A. Rech, PharmD, MS, FCCM, FCCP, BCCCP is a research health scientist at the Center of Innovation for Complex Chronic Healthcare at the Edward Hines Jr VA Medical Center and emergency medicine pharmacist. She is a fellow of SCCM and ACCP and the inaugural President of the Academy of Emergency Medicine Pharmacists within the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine and a pharmacology associate editor for EM:RAP CorePendium. She is co-founder of the Emergency Medicine PHARMacotherapy research NETwork (EMPHARM-NET), which conducts research pertaining to emergency medicine pharmacotherapy.

Brett FaineBrett Faine, PharmD, MS is a clinical associate professor of pharmacy and emergency medicine and vice chair of research in the University of Iowa Department of Emergency Medicine. A 2007 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy, he maintains an active clinical practice in the ED and teaches at the college of pharmacy. Dr. Faine also leads and collaborates on EM research and co-founded EMPHARM-NET, the first multi-center network of EM pharmacist researchers.

Dan CobaughDaniel J. Cobaugh, Pharm.D., FAACT, DABAT  is the senior vice president of professional development and publishing at ASHP and the editor-in-chief of AJHP.  He has served on the ASHP staff since 2002. He received his B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh and his Doctor of Pharmacy from Duquesne University.  Cobaugh completed an ASHP-accredited residency in hospital pharmacy at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh and a clinical toxicology fellowship at the Pittsburgh Poison Center.  He practiced as pharmacist-clinical toxicologist and held faculty appointments at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the University of Rochester Medical Center.
