This podcast will describe important considerations for health systems of varying size regarding the handling and distribution process of the COVID-19 vaccine. The listeners of this podcast, organized by the Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders Advisory Group on Strategy & Industry Disruptors, will hear from three different health systems on their lessons learned regarding the allocation of the COVID19 vaccine.

 Andrew Vandermause is a current  PGY-2 Health System Pharmacy and Leadership Resident at the Cleveland Clinic.  He is originally from Madison, Wisconsin and attended pharmacy school at the  University of Wisconsin-Madison. His career interests include pharmacy management  focused on continuous process improvement and supporting the care team to  facilitate optimal care for the patient. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys rooting  for Wisconsin sports teams and traveling to national parks.

 Tyler Fischback, PharmD,  BCPS, DPLA, is a Clinical Pharmacy Manager and Vaccine Coordinator for  Confluence Health in North Central Washington. Confluence Health is a  stand-alone rural integrated health care system delivering high quality care to  a 12,000 square mile territory of the state.

 Long D. Trinh, PharmD,  MS, MBA, BCPS, serves as Regional Director of Pharmacy Operations and  Compliance, Providence Health & Services Oregon. In this role, he also  serves as Residency Program Director for the PGY1 & 2 Health-System  Pharmacy Administration and Leadership with MBA.His professional career has  been devoted to identifying and implementing initiatives to enhance caregiver  well-being, engagement, and innovative process improvement opportunities, as  well as developing new healthcare businesses and programs.

In this role, Jonathan assists to manage  pharmaceutical expenditures for Cleveland Clinic main campus and provides  support to the pharmacy enterprise. Jonathan has been involved in several  projects related to procurement which include implementation of Epic Willow  Inventory, efforts to streamline the management of drug shortages, and COVID-19  pharmaceutical management as well vaccine distribution.
