In June 2020, a new consensus guideline was published in the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy that changed therapeutic drug monitoring recommendations for vancomycin from troughs to AUC. This change has created significant controversy across the nation. Today, we are hoping to settle some of these controversies.
SPEAKERS
 Kimberly Johnstone is a PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Resident at St. Louis Children's Hospital. She is originally from Washington state and attended the University of Washington for her undergraduate degree. She went to pharmacy school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. She is interested in careers in critical care and hematology/oncology.

She completed her PGY-1 residency in Pediatric Pharmacy Practice at  Children’s Hospital Colorado. After her PGY-1, she went on to obtain a PGY-2  residency certificate in Infectious Diseases from Connecticut Children’s  Medical Center and the University of Connecticut. She now practices as an  Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist at Holtz Women and  Children’s Hospital/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida.
