This podcast highlights experiences of pharmacy practice providers who did not get their “dream job.” Panelist share how they overcame perceived setbacks, and how they used their resilience to carve an authentic path forward.

SPEAKERS

Vista KhosravianiVista Khosraviani (she/her) serves as an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at University of the Pacific: Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy. She received her PharmD from the University of Charleston School of Pharmacy (UCSOP) in West Virginia. She then completed a postgraduate year 1 residency in ambulatory care and academia at UCSOP. Khosraviani currently serves on a committee for the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Educators.

Dan DegnanDan Degnan (he/him) is an associate director for the professional skills laboratory and a clinical assistant professor of pharmacy practice (courtesy) at Purdue University College of Pharmacy. Degnan has expertise in medication safety technology, advanced pharmacy automation, and healthcare high reliability. With prior experience as a medication safety officer at Community Health Network in Indianapolis, Degnan was recognized for his accomplishments by national pharmacy and healthcare quality organizations. He holds degrees from Purdue University and the University of Wisconsin.

Christina MnatzaganianChristina Mnatzaganian (she/her) is the associate dean for experiential education and a clinical professor at the UC San Diego Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SSPPS). Previously, she was the director of advanced pharmacy practice experiences and the founding director of the postgraduate year 1 community practice residency at SSPPS, where she guided preceptor and resident development and growth.
