In this podcast, we will be discussing how telehealth has been utilized to deliver pharmacy services within the ambulatory care setting and its impact on outcomes. This podcast also explores ASHP’s strategic initiatives and efforts in the areas of telehealth, digital health, and data driven healthcare as pharmacists and other providers begin to think innovatively about how care is delivered now and in the future.
SPEAKERS
Tom Bateman, PharmD, BCACP is a clinical assistant professor at the Rutgers, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy. Dr. Bateman serves as the lead clinical pharmacist and PGY2 ambulatory care residency program director at Henry J. Austin Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Trenton, New Jersey. Dr. Bateman’s primary interest is in providing comprehensive medication management to underserved populations in the ambulatory care setting.
Sophia R. Chhay, PharmD is the assistant director of the ASHP Innovation Center. In this role, Sophia helps lead and manage efforts to implement new programs and partnerships for ASHP. She also provides support for strategic planning, executive communications, and operations for the Office of the COO and Senior Vice President. She serves as secretary to the Council on Education and Workforce Development and co-program coordinator for the ASHP Executive Fellowship in Association Leadership and Management.
Bayli Larson, PharmD, MS, BCPS is strategic initiatives associate at ASHP. In her role she helps manage and lead a variety of collaborative cross-organizational strategic activities to help advance ASHP’s mission and vision and is also co-coordinator of the ASHP Executive Fellowship in Association Leadership and Management. She completed her PGY1 residency at UCHealth Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colo., and earned her PharmD from the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
