Liz Hess, PharmD, MS, FISMP, CPPS, (she/her) currently serves as the associate director of medication safety & accreditation at UK HealthCare in Lexington, KY. She is also the RPD for the PGY2 Medication-Use Safety and Policy program. She received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from The Ohio State University, then went on to complete a PGY1/PGY2/MS HSPA Residency at UNC Medical Center. Post-residency she completed the ISMP Safe Medication Management Fellowship. Her areas of interest include second victim, Just Culture, pharmacy operations, accreditation and teaching residents life-skills.
Meghan Swarthout, PharmD, MBA, BCPS, CPEL, FASH, (she/her/hers) is the Director of Pharmacy Patient Care Services and Population Health for the Johns Hopkins Health System. Meghan is responsible for medicine, surgery, oncology, and pediatric pharmacy services for The Johns Hopkins Hospital and ambulatory care, population health, and clinical pharmacy services for Johns Hopkins Health System. Dr. Swarthout is a past president of the Maryland Society of Health System Pharmacy and past Chair of the ASHP Council on Education and Workforce Development.
Tony Huke, PharmD, BCPS, (he/him/his) received his PharmD Degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2000), completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Cox Medical Center (2001), & achieved the designation of Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (2010). He was employed at Truman Medical Centers from 2001 to 2019, holding several titles including internal medicine clinical lead pharmacist, clinical manager & residency program director, & director of pharmacy services. Dr. Huke now serves as senior pharmacy executive director with Vizient Inc. where he is providing consultant clinical pharmacy services.
Leia Gaddis, PharmD, BCPS, DPLA, (she/her) is the residency programs coordinator for Parkview Health's six pharmacy residency programs. She graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy then completed a combined two-year PGY1/PGY2 Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residency at Tufts Medicine | Melrose Wakefield Hospital. She is a member of the Career and Leadership Development Advisory Group for New Practitioners Forum.
Nicole Mayne, PharmD, (she/her) is a clinical pharmacy specialist in oncology at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She received her PharmD from Regis University School of Pharmacy in Denver, Colorado. She completed her post graduate year one at Bozeman Health in Bozeman, Montana. Nicole is a member of the ASHP New Practitioners Forum, Career and Leadership Development Advisory Group.
Elena Patestos, PharmD, (she/her) is the current PGY1 Community Based Pharmacy Resident at Wilkes University and Weis Markets. She graduated from the Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy in 2023. During her time at Wilkes she completed a public health concentration and was a member of the Pennsylvania Area Health Education Center Scholars Program. Her practice areas of interest include academia, ambulatory care, and community pharmacy.
