SAG on Ambulatory Care Pharmacotherapy
Charge
To serve as member leaders to plan, create, and implement educational programming and to develop resources related to the clinical care of patients in the ambulatory care practice setting. The primary area of emphasis shall be the management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular, anticoagulation, and specialty medications.
This SAG is designed for practitioners that are new to the ambulatory care practice setting (i.e. five years or less).

Areas of emphasis shall include professional development (e.g., clinical peer review, grant writing), clinical practice development (e.g., care delivery model implementation), collaborative practice, chronic disease management, and credentialing and privileging.
This SAG is designed for the experienced ambulatory care practitioner as well as ambulatory care practice managers.

Areas of emphasis shall include compensation related to reimbursement, cost-avoidance, and pay-for-performance; business plan development; c-suite engagement; and billing for professional pharmacy services.
