Executive Committee
The section Executive Committee is a dedicated group responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and initiatives of the section. This committee sets priorities and provides leadership to ensure the section's mission is effectively advanced. Members are involved in decision-making processes, strategic planning, and driving initiatives that enhance member engagement within the section.

Chair (2026-2027)
Brian A. Potoski, PharmD, BCPS, BCIDP
Brian A. Potoski is an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacy and Therapeutics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. He serves as antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Presbyterian campus in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In these roles he teaches and precepts students in didactic and experiential learning settings and has longstanding experience at leading antimicrobial stewardship efforts to ensure safe, effective, and responsible antimicrobial use. Potoski earned his PharmD from the University of Pittsburgh and completed both PGY1 pharmacy practice and PGY2 infectious diseases residencies at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Potoski currently serves ASHP as representative and member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America intra-abdominal practice guidelines working group. Potoski’s previous ASHP service includes the director-at-large for the Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists (SCSS), Council on Therapeutics, Antimicrobial Resistance Task Force, and infectious diseases network facilitator.

Angela M. Colella, PharmD, BCPS, FASHP
Angela M. Colella is Director of Medication Optimization and Formulary Strategy at Advocate Health. Her non-traditional route to this role began with an undergraduate degree in English literature from the University of Wisconsin Madison that she applied working in healthcare public relations and academic medical center marketing. Colella stepped away from the workforce to care for her two young boys for several years, then returned to school, obtaining her PharmD degree with the inaugural class at Concordia University Wisconsin. She completed a PGY1 residency at Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and stayed on with the organization in the Drug Policy Center, overseeing the medication use process for the health system through activities with the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and other multidisciplinary stakeholders. Colella's service to ASHP includes an appointment to the Council on Pharmacy Practice as well as service as chair and vice chair of the Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists Advisory Group on Emerging Sciences. She has also served as an alternate delegate to the ASHP House of Delegates, served on the Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology Advisory Group on Clinical Applications, and was a featured blogger on ASHP Connect where she shared her thoughts on pharmacy school life and often observed parallels between being a parent and a student. She has co-presented and helped organize ASHP webinars such as Pharmaocequity for All: The Time is Now, is an ASHP PGY1 pharmacy residency preceptor, and serves annually as a Midyear Clinical Meeting submission peer reviewer.
Chair Elect (2025-2026)
Megan A. Corrigan, PharmD, MPH, BCPS, FASHP
Megan A. Corrigan is the director of pharmacy at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital. With over a decade of leadership experience within Advocate Health, she leads diverse teams to ensure operational excellence, system resilience, and high-quality, cost-effective medication use. She oversees pharmacy services at a Level I trauma center and has led numerous strategic initiatives that have driven innovation and preparedness. Corrigan earned her PharmD from Midwestern University and a MPH from Benedictine University. She completed her PGY1 residency at Rush University Medical Center and a PGY2 in emergency medicine at Detroit Receiving Hospital. In 2023, she was named a Fellow of ASHP in recognition of her sustained contributions to the profession. Her leadership includes implementation of high-level initiatives, coordination of COVID-19 mass vaccination efforts, and development of pharmacy emergency preparedness plans for cybersecurity and technology downtimes within Advocate Health. She also co-leads Advocate Health's Implementation Team, which plans and executes all operational and clinical changes. She has presented nationally on the pharmacist’s role in emergency preparedness and leadership topics. She co-authored ASHP’s Statement on the Role of the Pharmacy Workforce in Emergency Preparedness as well as several chapters within ASHP publications. Corrigan has served in the ASHP Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists Executive Committee, is a delegate for Illinois to the ASHP House of Delegates, as well as previously holding other positions within the Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists. She is a pharmacist on the federal WI-1 DMAT, an adjunct professor, preceptor, and active contributor to local and national public health and emergency response efforts.
Director-at-Large (2025-2027)
Denise Kelley, PharmD, BCPS, FASHP
Denise Kelley is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy and an internal medicine clinical pharmacy specialist at Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas. She is also the residency program director for the Ascension Seton PGY2 Internal Medicine pharmacy residency. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy followed by a PGY1 residency at UF Health Jacksonville and a PGY2 Internal Medicine Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. Kelley's ASHP involvement includes former Chair of the Section of Clinical Scientists and Specialists (SCSS) Meeting Planning Committee and past membership on the SCSS Educational Steering Committee, ASHP Council on Education and Workforce Development, and various New Practitioner Forum advisory groups. She has served state/regional affiliates in numerous capacities, including prior service on the Board of Director for the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists (FSHP) and as a member of the task force to create a Transitions of Care Certificate Program for the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP). She has also served as treasurer and education chair at the regional affiliate level. She has been recognized for her experiential teaching and contributions to pharmacy through various awards including the University of Florida New Inpatient Preceptor of the Year, FSHP New Practitioner of the Year, and was named a Fellow of ASHP in 2023.
Director-at-Large (2026-2028)
Zahra C. Nasrazadani, PharmD, BCEMP, BCPS, DPLA
Zahra C. Nasrazadani is the Pharmacy Clinical Manager at University Health Truman Medical Center, where she also supports the organization's residency programs as Residency Co-Coordinator and preceptor. She earned her PharmD at the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy and completed a PGY1 acute care residency in rural Kansas, where she went on to practice as an emergency medicine specialist for seven years, including achieving board certification in this specialty. She completed the ASHP Pharmacy Leadership Academy in 2022.
Zahra's ASHP service includes a three-year term on the Council on Therapeutics, ongoing membership on the ASHP Emergency Medicine Section Advisory Group, a two-year term as the Director of Government Affairs for the ASHP Kansas state affiliate, and representing the state of Kansas in the ASHP House of Delegates. She has delivered numerous podium presentations at the state level and presented original content at the ASHP National Pharmacy Preceptors Conference related to her novel longitudinal diversity, equity, and inclusion resident rotation, for which she was also awarded Innovative Practice of the Year by the ASHP Kansas affiliate in 2024. Her work in this space was published in AJHP and recognized in ASHP's Diversity Resource Guide as a key resource for supporting residency recruitment. Zahra has served as a poster abstract reviewer, peer reviewer for AJHP, and liaison for emergency medical services.
Director-at-Large Elect (2026-2027)
Brittany A. Tschaen, PharmD, MS, BCPS
Brittany A. Tschaen is an internal medicine clinical pharmacist and PGY1 residency program coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Jefferson College of Pharmacy and completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, followed by a PGY2 residency in internal medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Tschaen has demonstrated sustained leadership within ASHP, beginning as a student member and continuing through progressive roles within the organization. Early in her involvement, she served as a student representative to the ASHP Commission on Affiliate Relations and went on to hold multiple leadership roles within the ASHP New Practitioners Forum, including service on the Executive Committee. Building on this foundation, Tschaen has been an active member of the ASHP Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists (SCSS) for several years. She previously served as chair of the SCSS advisory group on Clinical Leadership and also previously served as a member of the SCSS Meeting Planning Committee. She recently completed 3 years of service on the ASHP Council on Therapeutics, further contributing to policy and practice advancement at the national level. At the state affiliate level, Tschaen is actively involved with the Massachusetts Society of Health System Pharmacists, serving on the Residency and Legislative Committees. She is a past president of the Delaware Society of Health System Pharmacists.
ASHP Staff
Vicki Basalyga, PharmD, MAS, BCPS, BCPPS
Vicki Basalyga is the Director for the Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists. In this role Vicki serves as an information resource and provides guidance to ASHP members regarding science and scientific developments affecting pharmacy practice in health systems. She serves as secretary to the Section executive committee and coordinates activities to accomplish the objectives established by the Section. Additionally, Vicki has assumed the position of Council Secretary for the ASHP's Council on Therapeutics. Vicki received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Duquesne University and completed an ASHP accredited PGY1 at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Vicki is also a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and a Board Certified Pediatric Pharmacotherapy Specialist. Prior to her current position at ASHP, Vicki practiced as critical care pharmacist in both the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Other activities Vicki performed included drafting policies and procedures, co-chairing the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, creating and drafting order sets for CPOE conversion and precepting residents and students.
