ASHP's Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology has four Section Advisory Groups (SAGs) to help you engage with ASHP and colleagues who share similar interests. SAG volunteer opportunities are open for application annually in the spring.
SAG on Clinical Applications
The main focus of the SAG on Clinical Applications is development of recommendations to assist pharmacists in the design, implementation, interoperability, and use of clinical applications. This SAG supports both clinical and operational workflows, promotes patient safety and provides structure for positive health outcomes in all spectrums of practice, from acute through ambulatory care, to specialty and infusion, and throughout transitions of care and setting. This includes, but is not limited to, electronic health records, electronic prescribing, personal health records, quality measures, medication reconciliation, virtual care (including telehealth), digital health and electronic documentation of pharmacists’ clinical services crossing the continuum of care.
