December 2025
Look how far we have come, New Practitioners!
I hope you are all enjoying the season’s festivities. The end of the year also provides a great opportunity to reflect on the personal and professional accomplishments of the past year and to plan for a successful and fulfilling year ahead. When planning for this upcoming busy season (holidays, job or residency applications, interviews, residency projects, or becoming established in your new position), ASHP’s Wellbeing Resource Center can help you continue to prioritize your well-being.
Thank you to those who attended the New Connections with New Practitioners event in November. We were able to explore the challenges of transitioning from residency to practice, as well as establishing and maintaining friendships and mentorships at new locations or in new roles.
And speaking of events, I hope you are able to join us at the upcoming 2025 ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting & Exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada, December 7-10th. This meeting is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your pharmacy knowledge, develop and grow your career, and connect with fellow pharmacy professionals in a variety of settings and locations. If attending, I hope you will be able to join us at the New Practitioner Networking Session on Sunday, Dec. 7, from 2:30 to 3:30 pm; this session will provide an insight into professional and career networking and growth. You can also use the time at Midyear to prepare for PPS interviews, learn more about pharmacy residency programs and fellowships, and attend all the fantastic educational sessions and poster presentations to spark new ideas for your practice and your organization.
If you have any ideas or comments you would like to share, engage with the NPF Connect Community or send us an email at NewPractitioners@ashp.org. I look forward to meeting many of you in Las Vegas, and I wish you all a joyous holiday season!
Warm regards,
